Burhanuddin Abdullah and other members of the Bi Board of Governors used funds belonging to the Indonesian Banking Development Institute Foundation (YLPPI) worth Rp 100 billion for the legal assistance of five former BI officials, the settlement of BLBI cases, and amendments to the BI Law. This was done jointly with the Deputy Governors of BI, namely Aulia Tantowi Pohan, Bun Bunan Hutapea, and Aslim Tadjuddin.
